Pros
The team works directly with products and customers which is a great opportunity to make meaningful and successful project go-lives. Fortune 500 customers which you directly work with are the highlight of this role (they truly become great colleagues). The World Sales Solutions team rents space out of SAP’s beautiful office which makes the experience enjoyable. In addition, each year the team (contractors) receive an invitation to SAP’s holiday party which is extravagant and a great way to close out the year of hard work. Great place to make connections with customers and internal SAP employees. Hands on experience with implementation products.
Cons
Very strong micromanaging and condescending environment. The turnover rate is somewhat high (1-2 people of a ~6 person team) every year/few years. The role may be positioned as “SAP” but do keep in mind this is a permanent “contractor” role which does not have any SAP benefits whatsoever. No paid vacation/sick days. The team usually takes a two week NON-PAID Christmas and New Years break which you must take. Meetings can be hostile and very uncomfortable if you do not see eye to eye with the owner (even if the business benefit for the team and customer is opposite of what is being forced upon the team from the owner). Owner says he is accepting of feedback and opinions on business topics/outcomes but shuts down any feedback other than his own. I would steer clear and seek opportunity elsewhere. Please take caution when reading the reply’s to these reviews as they may be skewed (leading off a better impression of the business than how it is from current employees). Please also keep in mind that there is no HR team to speak to as the owner of the business is technically your HR manager (given the very small ~6 person team) which can be difficult to overcome any HR related issues.
