Lack of strategy

Pros

Fully remote, No-meeting Fridays, Flexible time off, Nice co-workers, Mission-driven.

Cons

Lack of empowerment, everything is driven by the executive team. Lack of strategy. VPs get hired and then let go just a few months later. The company is not growing as expected and had to go through a reduction in force. A new CEO just came in which brings some hope.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO (yes I understand how this can be viewed as a con but I assure you that you're encouraged to take advantage of this) - Flexible remote work environment. As long as you get your work done in a timely manner the company doesn't care when you do it. Employees are scattered all across the world working with clients that are also scattered all across the world. There are times you'll have to work before dawn and other times you'll have to work until midnight, but that means you have the liberty to do whatever you need/want to do during the day - 401k match - meaningful, challenging work - management is patient and understanding with new hires. they make it clear that there is a lot to take in with this job and they don't want new hires to rush or burn themselves out too early. when it comes to learning the business it's a marathon, not a sprint

Cons

- there's a small feeling of 'sink or swim' here. Because they treat their employees like actual adults that does mean there won't be a lot of hand holding if you need assistance or if you're learning on the job. you are expected to seek out your own answers and to take initiative, even though you will make mistakes. it's a natural 'con' to what is also considered to be a 'pro'
