Pros

Met some great colleagues who helped immensely with my professional development. Some of the partners are great people. Also will support you financially with costs of CA / CPA. Their IT system is innovative but the cost of maintaining it is their achilles heel (my guess is at the expense of staff salaries).

Cons

Unfortunately from my experience, the cons far outweight the pros. I was promised the world to keep me in line, but all promises weren't delivered (i.e. promotions, salary increases, bonuses - all lip service). Albeit influenced by COVID - reality was that despite multiple years of service, great productivity, meeting all KPI's, achieving qualifications and dealing with a lot of difficult circumstances (which did affect me mentally), I was on a lower salary when I left than what I was paid when I started. Nepotism is rife - promotions, raises, ability to leave work early, resolve personal matters in work time, days off and not being charged annual leave, safe from any form of scrutiny etc. In the past, they have invited staff to participate in a firmwide survey with feedback on the way the firm is run. No surprise that nepotism was a common response from all employees. The firms response was pure denial. No steps were taken to even consider what the employees at large were thinking. Staff turnover is high - I'm sure those that have left would echo the sentiments in this review. The powers that be still won't learn. Plenty of ethically questionnable decisions were made in my time which I still disagree with, the outcome of which adversely impacted the very creditors who's interest we were supposed to have front of mind, and act upon. There are zero female partners. I could go on. Hopefully these issues have been weeded out by now. Realistically speaking, they likely haven't nor will they ever.
