Pros

I truthfully can’t name any. I was miserable here.

Cons

CEO is the worst business owner I have ever seen. She hired me with the intent of helping her rebuild her business and made false promises of joining her on these trade shows to Paris and New York which was a huge selling point for me. I had dreams of starting my own business one day and thought she could be a great mentor for me. After the second week or so she started not showing up to the office or saying she was working from home and would just have me work on packing and shipping orders all day by myself. I was bored out of my mind and wasn’t being used for my skills that I was hired for. I learned absolutely nothing from her other than how to not run a business. Towards the end of me working there she became incredibly mean and condescending it felt like I was being bullied. My final paychecks were late due to “lack of cash” and she laid me off after a month of working for her. She also promised me a weeks worth of severance and I have not seen a penny of it. Again claiming this is due to a lack of cash. Do not ever work for or with this company because all it will lead to is frustration and disappointment. The CEO is also a slob she’s totally fine throwing trash on the floor letting her kids throw used suckers on the carpets and doesn’t even bother trying to clean up so it becomes your responsibility if you’re someone who needs a clean space to work.

Horrible Management

Pros

Most of the employees are friendly.

Cons

The owner is a horrible business owner - never listened to anyone but herself. Not open to any ideas. You won't always get paid on time, an extremely disorganized environment.

Thank you for your comment. Wunderkin grew very quickly our first five years, and as a creative founder, it was hard to manage every element of the fast growth. Our strengths were product design, creating a community of customers, an incredibly talented core team of original female hires and our brand story. We definitely made mistakes in regards to the operational section of the business. We are currently reorganizing and hopeful to learn from this journey as we continue to grow and stabilize into a more steady and communicative organization that honors each person involved and leaves them inspired to grow personally and professionally into a life they truly love.

Pros

Lots of trust to get the work done you were hired to do. CEO encourages creative freedom and ownership over your job and is working hard to provide the resources for growth and success in a fast-paced start-up culture. It is a fun work environment with a team that feels like family and works together to get things done. The product is beautiful with loads of potential as competitors cannot stand against our design. No day is boring and everyone has an equal voice that is truly heard.

Cons

This is a start-up so chaotic days are to be expected-- with growth comes change and every day looks different. Processes are still a little shaky. You have to be willing and okay to work hard.
