Pros

The engineering and product teams were untouched in this last round of layoffs. Our old CEO is sticking around, but in a non-CEO role.

Cons

After a year of no growth or worse, we just went through a huge round of layoffs, including our CEO and CFO (both of who were really respected by everyone), half the sales team and almost all of the office support (like HR and office management). We have new executives who think they have it all figured out, but you can't run a company with just ego.

Big Business Mentality with Start-Up Product

Pros

There are some excellent people at the company who are dedicated and know their stuff. The company moved to new offices a few months ago and the area is good, but the offices are still very unfinished. They recently moved to unlimited vacation, which is good if you have a manager that will work with you. Bagels and beer each week, if you consider that a pro. They try to promote a fun culture, but it's tough to do when many are unhappy.

Cons

Management...Management...Management. Seems like the founders don't really know how to grow a company. They constantly shift focus and overreact to every little market and business fluctuation. They recently brought on a revenue guy who seems to be hellbent on making the company an enterprise corporation but doesn't understand that the product is not there. Their strategy seems very shortsighted and doesn't make for a bright future.

Same mess with just a fresh coat of paint

Pros

The only Pro would be the unlimited PTO - Since management doesn't really care, you could literally just "work" remotely every day.

Cons

Where does one even begin... They just renamed the company with hopes that a new name will hide the mess that Wyng is. The new senior team is literally from the dot-com era and thinks that by changing the name it will just reboot the company. All the plans are short term plans! The road-maps are fuzzy with no set direction. Half of the employees are either managers or directors (way too many directors) who spend their days in meetings while the rest of the employees do the work. On any given day there are less than half of the current employees in the office, the rest are "working" remotely or they just don't care to show up. Since the senior management doesn't care what is going to happen in a year, they don't really care what the employees do. There are no perks, absolutely no company culture, no growth opportunities, and no career improvement. If you even try to make a suggestion or ask a question in terms of the direction of the company be ready to get screamed at as if you were a child. The mentality is "I'm your boss and just do what you're told to do". There's no exchange of ideas nor team collaboration. Seasoned people are constantly leaving taking with them valuable knowledge and aren't being replaced. If you just need money to pay rent for a couple of months while you find a better job then join them, but don't stay too long, every day working at Wyng will suck years out of your life.
