Pros

Exposure to door to door selling. Big brand with some unique products. Company Car. Mostly autonomous role

Cons

Drastic price rises block the ability to earn commission. Some shocking middle management in Melbourne with no idea. Pretending all geographical areas have the same potential for sales regardless of socioeconomic status. All lot of poor quality Chinese products being branded as German, particularly in the battery and air tool range. Not a great deal of support from internal staff, more of an "us and them" approach to sales staff. A lot of money seems to be spent on parties and a lavish drinking culture for senior management and internal staff. Rewards in the wrong areas and a lack of integrity. An extremely low base of $40k

Pros

having a car a fuel card and being able to claim some expenses apart from that there isn't anything else as good people don't last long

Cons

terrible pay, any reason not to pay you commission or bonus, restrictions on the amount of private travel you do in the company car, unrealistic targets, constant harassment, tracking your every move through your ipad and phone, and answer why you spend so much time at peoples places, at review time they sit you by yourself and then two people harass you into agreeing to there way and you work way more hours than what they tell you

Pros

Caring, family orientated business. Hands on and highly visible CEO. Organisational ability is developing.

Cons

Promotions based on tenure not talent. Office staff spends profits on parties while sales reps work hard for small commissions. Revolving door of sales reps (~30%) turnover. New employees are from bottom of the barrel. Sales starting salary is $40k + super + commission (5-10k pa) + phone + car = rubbish for the exp. required.
