Pros

It was a good company to work for before the Danaher merger. Most people were good to work with and for.

Cons

All employees being treated as a number. If you have a high income be prepared to be laid off. Only the people in there 20's are being promoted to higher positions. Management not willing to do mentor ships to advance with the company.

Not quite sure how to respond to this one, this just isn't factual. I encourage candidates to apply and check us out for yourself. Being part of Danaher allows us to have exceptional career growth for people who are interested, and we have strong career growth within the X-Rite Pantone company too.

Pros

The work is technically challenging and can provide you with some great satisfaction in making some pretty cool products, You can choose to work your tail off for this company or you can simply coast through you career there. And you'll be rewarded with exactly the same advancement opportunities and mediocre raises either way!

Cons

Front line management doesn't have the ability to initiate or make necessary changes or enforce current rules. Most managers above that level don't have the time or concern to help. Just make the Danaher-initiated numbers; it's a common theme. But when we made the numbers, the company didn't share (enough) with the employees. I took a greater than 20% raise to go to my new company and perform almost the same tasks as X-Rite was unwilling to pay me for.

Congratulations on your new opportunity. Without knowing the specifics of your situation it's hard to comment, but overall it really is a high performance culture with rewards that correlate with individual and company performance. We know this because we benchmark with the market. In my experience, there are not a lot of people coasting along, it's a hard working committed group of people. One of the nice things about X-Rite Pantone is that we are part of a larger corporation, Danaher, which means we offer benefits and rewards that larger companies offer, yet we still have a smaller company environment to work in.

Pros

SOME of the people are awesome to work with. Parental leave is a nice bonus.

Cons

EVERYTHING is data driven. EVERYTHING is driven by hitting target numbers. The managers are 100% corporate drones who only care about hitting their metrics. Some are two-faced who pretend to care about the people, but realistically can't be trusted. There are operations managers who are extremely young and experience/immaturity is readily apparent. Some team leaders are just awful to work under. Some team leaders are on their phone all day, watching movies. The atmosphere USED to be awesome. It WAS enjoyable to come to work every day. There used to be "lunch and learns" where pizza was provided and you could learn about the product that was being produced. Those disappeared fairly quickly. Coffee and donuts used to be provided at the "end of the month", but again, those disappeared as well. "Crosstraining" is doublespeak for doing more without extra pay. Its extremely hard to advance in your "career" if you aren't in a production manager position. Its impossible to transition from operations to information technology, even if you have the skill set. Many positions are designed to where there is only lateral movement, no movement up in the corporate ladder.
