Pros

They pay enough. If you’re looking for some introduction to your job title and what it entails you might get it.

Cons

You do less welding than intended. Hours of sitting around sweeping or grinding nothing or they’ll get on you. There’s not enough work here and the environment is trash. It’s more corporate than anything. The people on the floor are severely undervalued and are treated like an unneeded addition to the workforce. The management here can straight up remove you from the job on the terms of not liking you. They’re emotional and the farthest from professional. Do not recommend personally you won’t be able to excel here you might learn a couple things though if you’re new to the trade.

Pros

Work/life balance was not an issue for me when I worked at XL – my time outside of work was respected by management.

Cons

The expectations during work hours were high.
