Pros

some of the people are nice pay is average or almost average

Cons

extremely long hours, especially in IT and Engineering extremely unstable and poorly architected/designed platform and network senior management is clearly more interested in getting more rounds of funding from investors than in producing a good product and seems to only care about getting to the IPO so they can make off with their golden parachutes PTO policy is only average and time off requests are regularly refused any and all criticism or suggestions for improvement are seen as being negative and result in employees being castigated - once new employees realize this, they simply clam up to protect themselves and start looking to leave the company (as I am) CTO writes most of the code himself, which goes a long way to explaining why 1- suggestions for improvements aren't taken in a positive light and 2- the coompany's technology footprint has no clear future plans and is so unstable all the micromanaging, lack of leadership and uncertainty about the future leads to a lot of tense feelings within the company All conversations concerning improving the company end with the same statement - "But that's not the ER way." - which just shuts down all discussion.

Pros

My direct manager is a nice person

Cons

I have been with this company for a very long time and have never felt less valued than I do now. The divide between the "haves and have nots" is not just obvious, it is actually celebrated and flaunted by the leaders. They lay people off frequently while hiring a slew of new executives They spend an incredible amount of money flying the executive and leadership teams around the world while they tell us to watch every dollar like it is our own. We did not get raises in 2023. Raises were promised in April 2024, but weren't actually implemented until June. Raises were only 2-3%. The bonus structure was also dismantled and some had their commission removed. CEO claims to have an "open door policy" but she ignores and refuses to actually meet with people. Then she blames employees for not trying to get in touch with her. It truly feels like they are trying to get people to quit so they can offload jobs overseas for less money while not having to pay severance.

Pros

There is an opportunity for them to be great. A lot of good, friendly, people on staff. They are still the market leader in several key areas.

Cons

They acquired their largest competitors in each field (with exception of digital / internet ad) and in doing so became a large company. Unfortunately they have no idea how to run a large company and it really shows in lack of direction, commitment to a plan that already failed the main competitor they acquired, and a tremendous amount of cheerleading by everyone dressed as "company culture" to hide the fact that the wheels have come off a few miles ago and the body is dragging in the dirt. The only thing they seem to care about is going public despite their tremendous debt and declining business segments and revenue. They're using tech which was smart 10+ years ago.
