Pros

- Some amazing people who all left due to the mistreatment of staff.

Cons

- All good reviews here are fake and are written by the directors of the company - This company has no HR and everything is at the discretion of the CEO - They have a horrible turn over rate, most memebers of staff leave after a year. - Everything is based on favouritism, from promotions to job security - No diversity whatsoever, if you are a PoC I would not recommend working here, very few members of staff that you can 'relate' to. - No official set day for pay, its given as and when CEO 'feels' like paying. - No training given, thrown into the deep end from day 1 and can be fired without notice for not performing to their standard.

We regret this candidate had a very short and unproductive probationary period with us here at Xanda. The relationship certainly did not pan out the way we had hoped and we understand her frustrations at not securing a longer term role with us, but we do wish her well for the future. The comments about diversity, training, HR, pay and fake reviews are not an accurate reflection, but as always we continue to review and improve all our processes and these comments are taken seriously as valuable feedback.

Pros

You'll be working with a knowledgeable team of developers, designers and an excellent Digital Marketeer

Cons

- Unprofessional directors who openly slate staff whilst others are around, unhelpful and lack professional experience, they practice a 'smoke and mirrors' philosophy. - Severe start-up feel with a real negative office atmosphere. - They oversell as though they've got huge clients - saw no proof of this in marketing, web development or tech support. - Will lie about the office - you'll be working in a portacabin in the car park - Lack of cleaning (sometimes going days without hand soap and there's no cleaner for the office space you'll be working in) - Unmanageable workload - senior leaders refuse to grow departments in accordance with growing client list. - You won't have much (if any) senior guidance, there's no room for learning or development. - Most of the staff are lowly paid - Absolutely no staff perks - Lots of misogynistic 'lad' banter - Delusion as to where they actually are within the industry, main director doesn't take any criticism - Hire often on a whim without any process and then march people out in a rather undignified fashiomn

Whilst we acknowledge the feedback given in this review, we are saddened that none of the points were raised through the proper channels during the short period of employment of this individual; we question the motivation of this post but will nevertheless continue to make Xanda a fertile environment for exciting work, innovation and career progression. Xanda are currently in their 20th financial year of continuous growth and the size of the team has quadrupled in the last four years. We have more than 70 designers, developers, marketeers and managers working over 3 offices in North London, Shoreditch and Gambia with a 4th office on Sunset Blvd, Hollywood in the pipeline. The company has delivered thousands of digital media projects, has no outstanding debts, is ISO 9001 and 27001 accredited and has an enviable client list, so to suggest the company has a negative outlook or oversells itself is factually inaccurate. The senior management team have unequivocally never lied about working environments and the company emphatically rejects this accusation. We appreciate this former employee misunderstood their office location, and some flexible work from home benefit was taken up by this employee when their misunderstanding was raised. Xanda will continue to recruit ambitiously as we build our team to meet the demand for our services. All applicants who are invited for interview will come to our head offices and speak with senior management. We would encourage them to have a look around the offices and ask any questions they may have about the job and before accepting any job offer. Xanda are proud of their team and the familiar relationships that have developed between them over many years and look forward to welcoming many more new recruits in the months and years ahead. We wish this individual the best of luck in their new role and hope they find it and their new colleagues a better fit for them.
