Pros

RPO type company - good concept and good work life balance.

Cons

Run by the ultimate micro- manager who is disrespectful, cold and overly controlling. Instead of letting employees run with their work, thrive and celebrate success; she seems to enjoy keeping people down, operates at a frantic level and is both rude and disrespectful to anyone who has any level of professional experience. Her narcissistic approach was insulting and the level of control she tried to maintain is impossible to uphold. Keep you waiting promising an offer than once client comes in they expect you to give no notice to your current employer. Salary discussed was not delivered upon which wouldn't have been an issue if I had a different manager.

We are sorry you felt like this! We work very hard at creating an autonomous environment as you have heard from the other reviews. Freedom to be creative within a framework as well as work/life balance is central to our culture. It is not a great match for everyone and we hope that you are thriving and happy now. Thank you for your contributions to Xelerate and for the feedback, it's very valuable to us and taken seriously!

Pros

Work from home, pay was okay and training is thorough

Cons

Management is terrible. They preach transparency but blindside you every step of the way. Managers throw recruiters under the bus to save face with the clients constantly. Metrics are always unclear and when you ask for clarification they tell you "not to worry" about it but then reprimand you if they arent met. Goodluck getting guidance. They laid off half of the company 2022-2023 and it's been a revolving door since.

A Response from the Founder & CEO- Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I want to acknowledge and address your concerns as transparently as possible. First, I recognize that 2023 was a challenging year for Xelerate. Like many companies, we faced difficult decisions, including workforce reductions, as part of adapting to market conditions and setting the foundation for long-term stability. These changes were not made lightly, and I sincerely apologize for any hardship they may have caused. Since then, we’ve taken significant steps to improve both our internal culture and the way we partner with our employees and clients. In 2023, we transitioned key members of our leadership team, restructured processes, and placed a strong focus on aligning with clients who share our values and approach. Today, we’re seeing the results of these efforts through increased account expansions, stronger client relationships, and exceptional Net Promoter Scores (9 and 10). Regarding your comments on management and communication, transparency and accountability are core values and we continue to reinforce with clear expectations, guidance, and metrics. While no organization is perfect, we are committed to listening and improving every step of the way. I’m proud of the incredible team we have today—dedicated, customer-focused, and united in delivering outstanding results. I truly wish you all the best in your career. Emily V. Pros

Ability to work from home and they give you extensive training. Most coworkers are positive, nice and helpful. The hiring process was easy and they provide you a computer. Pay was good, basic benefits.

Cons

My customer success manager was not nice, did not have good client facing skills, which made it awkward to recruit and interact with the clients. This manager was rude, not helpful, and micromanaged. The opportunity for growth within the company is minimal. It is hard to feel like a team while working fully remote, but that is preference. I think if management was better for me, it would have made the team environment better. They make all new employees write reviews about the company, which I think is not ethical, of course a new employee is going to put something nice. Which is why I am here writing a more honest review.

Response from Founder and CEO, Emily V. Biscardi- Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, both positive and negative. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the ability to work from home and the extensive training that we provide. I am also glad to hear that you found most of your coworkers to be positive, nice, and helpful. I too was concerned about management and the reason why I took action to turn over members of the leadership team. We have received very positive feedback on new leadership from both employees and clients. I want to clarify your comment on ‘making’ employees write reviews. We do ask employees, if they are so inclined, to write a review. We do not tell them what to say. I apologize that your departure may have been a result of poor management at the time. I do hope that you have found a position that is more suitable for you. Emily V. Biscardi, Founder and CEO
