Salaries are not bad (compared to local market), but I will give this as a cons anyway because I deeply dislike it. Most Uruguayan companies (this one included) pay devs in general, and junior devs in particular, pennies in comparison to what they make. I'm not saying they are not allowed to make a profit, but devs who are doing valuable work are paid 1k to 2k USD per month when they produce A LOT more value than that. Again, ALL companies here do that, so this is not really particular to xmartlabs, but it's ridiculous anyway. If you want to get paid what you're worth, I think the only option is to work for a remote company. (And not the terrible companies that put "salary in USD" as a perk and are looking for people in south America to exploit them) The perks are a not very good. They give you some discount on gyms and free food once a month (!). The "in-house cheff" makes food you can buy anywhere else for a similar price (maybe a little more expensive), and it's not even tasty. Overall, the experience has been positive and I recommend the company to everyone who wants to work at the local market. If you want to get paid what you're worth, don't work for Uruguayan companies
