A mess

Pros

The only pros would be being able to learn so much from your coworkers. You also have the opportunity to teach concepts to them in return. The pay is decent for the type of work you do.

Cons

This is one of the worst contracts that I have ever worked on. The company frequently switches up on their word in regards to: job duties and positions, health and wellness benefits, transit benefits, and 401k. The 401k has yet to properly be set up and the contract has been operating since January(it is now September). The company forces everyone to get healthcare, even though you may already have it. There is no opting out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some type of ploy to save themselves money. Humana is not widely accepted in the area. The deductible is very high. We have had three supervisors since the start of the contract. Read between the lines. Expect the “entitled government employees” to complain about the daily activities of the contractors, however regular they may be. The number of infantile complaints made about contractors are unbearable; especially by a certain program director or WHATEVER she is (a self proclaimed very important person). Misery loves company in this office, and she will stop at nothing to show it. She takes out the deep despondency of her life on the contractors, or out on anyone unwilling to be her yes-man. Don’t let her see you happy. There is no purpose in putting in an honest effort here at work. All promotions and decisions are made based upon favoritism. Just suck up to management and you are a shoo-in for that next position.

Pros

None. They will provide you a salary offer for a position and once you accept it they will then come back and lower the previous agreed amount. Multiple co workers shared the same experience.

Cons

Very unorganized corporate office. They will routinely interrupt you with phone calls to ask for information you have already provided them multiple times. Company practice does not leave employees feeling as if they are apart of the corporation. Your well being or experience is not important while employed to them. If you are going to provide a one time bonus it should be on a percentage of your salary not a tank of gas. Granted the bonus is a joke they did not issue bonus one year with the excuse of Government Furlough. EVERYONE knows contracts are not affected by furloughs as funding is already awarded to contracts. Stop lying to save a buck any chance you get.

Pros

The people who work (outside the C-Suite) there are the sweetest people on the planet. Great location for those ITP.

Cons

Borderline illegal behavior and immoral hiring activities. Little to no leadership except when being filmed or live for the targeted market to witness. Constant threats of termination. Yelling at employees. Treated like servants and not professionals.
