Dear Designer, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience at YAMA Group. We value your input and take all comments seriously, as they help us improve and ensure that YAMA Group remains a place where our employees thrive. I want to address each of your concerns individually and provide insight into how we approach these issues. 1. Toxic Environment: We deeply regret that you felt our work environment was toxic. YAMA Group is committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all our employees. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination and encourage employees to report any concerns to our management. We are continually working to foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture. 2. Horrific Work-Life Balance: Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial for our employees' well-being. YAMA Group is actively taking steps to improve employee wellbeing continually. We are implementing flexible working arrangements, highly encouraging employees to use their paid time off, and promoting better time management practices. Our approach incentivizes productivity while building a positive hustle culture--and staff happiness. 3. Nepotism: We are committed to a fair and transparent hiring and promotion process at YAMA Group. Nepotism is something we take seriously and actively work to prevent. At YAMA we promote good people who have the ambition of growing within YAMA and have a track record of good performance. We have firm policies in place to ensure that all employees are evaluated and promoted based on their skills, qualifications, and contributions to the organization. Please provide examples of nepotism at your convenience. 4. Micromanagement: We understand that micromanagement can be frustrating and counterproductive. YAMA Group is actively working to foster a culture of trust and autonomy among our employees. Our managers are encouraged to provide guidance and support while allowing our teams the freedom to execute their tasks in a way that best suits their skills and expertise. We are investing in training to develop further our managers' leadership abilities with trust and empowerment. 5. Hustle Culture: YAMA Group promotes a strong work ethic, but we also recognize the importance of work-life balance. We encourage our employees to be efficient and effective in their roles but not at the expense of their well-being. Our approach incentivizes productivity while building a positive hustle culture and staff happiness. Our leadership team is actively exploring ways to reduce unnecessary stress and pressure on our employees. Your feedback is invaluable, and we appreciate your willingness to share your concerns. We are committed to creating a more positive and inclusive work environment for all our employees, and your comments will help us achieve this goal. If you are open to discussing your concerns further or have any additional suggestions, please feel free to reach out to directly. We value your input and are dedicated to making YAMA Group a better workplace. Thank you for your time and input. Sincerely, YAMA Group

Pros

Honestly, there’s nothing positive about this company. The positive comments were all posted by their own HR.

Cons

Family business of an absolutely insane rich, middle-aged, divorced psychopath, who thinks it’s cool to hire young talent and torment them with his scrapbook of bad-management-101, while intoxicating them with his trashy fragrance, and literally other illegal substances for which he should get sued.

Pros

Decent salary, interesting clients, travel.

Cons

Very toxic environment. Yes, they give you barbeques on fridays every now and then, and take you on a fancy yearly trip, but they mistreat and overwork employees on a day to day basis. They guilt you into spending as much time at the office as possible, to only socialize with coworkers, otherwise you're not "a team player". HR is only there to tell on employees to the owner.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all comments seriously and value the experiences of both current and former employees. At YAMA Group, we strive to create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment, and we're committed to the well-being of all team members. While we are proud of our efforts to foster camaraderie through events like Friday BBQs and our annual trip, we understand that maintaining a healthy work-life balance is equally important. We continuously work to improve this balance and ensure that every employee feels supported in their role. Our HR team is dedicated to building a fair, respectful, and transparent workplace where everyone feels heard. In this case, we worked on various performance improvement plans and invested significant effort, flexibility and time to address both behavioral and performance issues. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the issues persisted, and after much consideration, we ultimately decided to part ways. While we strive to make every hire a valuable addition to the team, we recognize that not every hire will be a good fit, and we learn from these experiences to improve our processes. We regret that your experience didn’t align with our values, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. If you would like to talk more about your concerns, please feel free to reach out directly. We remain committed to making YAMA Group a great place to work.
