Pros

Opportunity to work with people from all around the globe

Cons

Top management is either out of touch with what’s happening within the teams or is actively choosing to ignore the issues being flagged especially in the home offices. Discrimination between the home base employees and European staff in wages, training, projects and expectations. Lack of transparency on every level. Misleading and sometimes outright deceiving hiring journey.

Pros

1.You get to work with a small team. 2.Young engineers so the work environment is good ( between developers ) .

Cons

1. Poor management actually one of the worst , 2. Poor decision making, so random and impacting the work of developers. 3. If you work hard you're not getting any recognition or any bonuses not even a thank you. 4. HR work against you not to help you. 5. No transparency you're not even included in decision making they want "code monkeys" we decide and you apply kind of mentality . 6. Outdated technologies with promises of change/update that never happen. 7. Long non negotiable notice just to ruin your better opportunities. 8. Terrible code quality if you like clean code and good architectures you can say goodbye to this .

Pros

Salary is good, diverse culture, work life balance, no 8 hours control, company has money from investors. Very good and inspiring company’s mission

Cons

8-years start-up with a chaotic work approach. Blaming, punished, no clear roles, everyone is micromanaging and giving unsolicited pieces of advice or saying how you should do smth before you even started (what is in their head, not on the documentation or written work process and they are not your leader or manager), covering it as a feedback, and saying you have to appreciate it and “think if you accept it or not”, you’re blamed for the questions you asked, they will inform you they don’t have to communicate smth to you they changed in your work. you can hear smth like “we are like a family”, everyone is codependent, there is a lack of autonomy, no trust in work, no chief executives, no user data collected, everyone is correcting everyone and they are doing things based on such “feedback”. ux researchers are separated from the team, meeting time are not treated well here (they often late and often prolong time, or ignored the meeting even if they accepted it), no ground for proper research from UI designers, no discovery phase for most of things, lack of knowledge, but big intense to move things. Very bad app feedback from users, but they behave as they are users. You are scared, you’re blamed, you are afraid to speak, you’re punished, because you’re not following the expectations what have not been provided from their head. No structure, no organization, toxic work approach. They more focus on people relations, rather than work relations. They are not honest, and if you want to be honest - it is better not to do it, shut up, because you’ll be judged in a bad way that you’re honest and trying to understand work approach and checking your responsibilities alignment - and this will be perceived as you did something very bad. Improvement initiatives are not accepted, because “there is no need to improve something that is already working” No protocol and work guidelines information, and you will be checked if you meet no protocol requirements. You learn by the time how everything works here
