Straight after I was given a bonus (where my manager said we could discuss a promotion at my next review) I alerted (anonymously) hr that a co-worker, new employee was struggling with the lack of onboarding structure and how difficult his managers were (as people). Said struggling employee was fired within two weeks. About two months later I had a 1-1 with hr where I told them I was struggling, I felt my manager was gaslighting me, telling me (I’m HOD under C level) that I can push the department however I see fit, and then speaking against my proposals to leadership. Anyway, I told them I was struggling, my manager was not supporting me and it was very hard to actually progress company objectives. My next meeting with said hr was to be told I was being made redundant.
