Pros

If you want to get experience working for a top 10 passive component manufacturer, Yageo might be a good place to work. They offered me a competitive salary, and the benefits were above average. For those interested in working and understanding manufacturing and distribution in the APAC region, this is a good company to work for. They own the Greater China chip resistor market, and are a top 5 supplier for MLCC products.

Cons

The company is strongly hierarchical. The management is Taiwanese, very rigid, inflexible to geographic and cultural differences. My ideas for growing market share here in the US were never adopted, yet the management team never bothered to articulate and put in motion a strategy that could work. Overall, the position was false advertised, and so I left when I got the chance.

Pros

Reasonable pay and work-life balance. Employee cafeteria is not bad.

Cons

The top management moves the goalposts almost every month. Bureaucratic and hierarchical culture. The power is too much centralized in top management. Flooded with paper works every day.
