Yandex Labs used to have talented people

Cons

Yandex is a Moscow company. Everything that is not invented in Moscow or directed by Moscow is rejected. As result all talented people have left. The office in Palo Alto would be closed years ago, if Borkovski wasn't Volozh personal friend. At the same time Borkovski is disliked by many key people in Moscow.

It was nice to work, it is Russian company, and there is big pressure from HQ office in Moscow

Nice and high prefessional team. The environment is nice. Very good local management. Very good medical ensurance, and compensation is Ok.

Cons

Too much politics between the lab and the HQ office in Moscow. There is a big pressure from HQ. Too many switching in project priorities.
