Toxic and Complacent Culture

Pros

Flexibility, pto, vacation days, paycheck.

Cons

Lack of company-wide leadership. Communication is dismal at best. Has been this way for many years. Lack of follow through and accountability by management both on the corporate and on-site level. Benefits have declined the past few years. The corporate office is riddled with toxic and immature behavior. Favoritism, bullying and cliques exist chasing new talent away. Confidential information is often shared and gossiped about regularly. Employee turnover is at an all time high. New talent that comes on board can't be retained. Leadership is either unaware of the deep rooted problems that exist or, they are aware and turn a blind eye rather than work to resolve them. The employees haven't been a priority for some time. Staff has become complacent as they know nothing will ever change.

Pros

A paycheck. That’s the only good thing.

Cons

On-site is ok but corporate? NO!! Corporate staff are cliquey, political, deameaning, they all talk bad about each other. They are all friends and try to dig as much personal information out of you to turn on you. They are sneaky, rude and weasels. If you have a chance to do better they will be hateful to you. They don’t want you to do better. Higher ups have no leadership skills. They don’t make their own decisions. Human Resources is a absolute joke! She will not help you with any problem within the company. She will make you figure it out and won’t say a word to anyone. Everyone is afraid to speak up because it might come out that no one actually works as hard as they lead to believe. They all work from home and probably only work 10% of the time. I could keep going but steer clear. Oh and they talk really bad about community managers and maintenance tech and each other. The trainer doesn’t like the VP of property management. Compliance talks about every department. They are snakes. They had a new person bawling within a week then she quit. Yarco is run off control. You will be micro managed and talked down to.

It sounds like we weren't as effective as we could have been in communicating the many resources that were available to you, and we're disappointed to hear that this was your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback about your time with us. Knowing where we may be missing the mark helps us tackle our shortcomings as we strive daily to provide a better workplace.

Not where you deserve to be

Pros

Some of the staff I work with are amazing. There are many who are completely content where they are and they are just a breath of fresh air. Positive folks.

Cons

Too much change with leadership. Wages are far too low and not competitive. Properties are not Owner/Managed. There are no bonuses or incentives. Staff Vacancies are never filled. Emails with most corporate staff and leadership are returned within 4 to 6 weeks, if at all. The flow chart is completely broken.
