Pros

You work in a gym! The gym members are pretty nice. The staff normally mesh decent. Working hours are more flexible then other jobs.

Cons

The pay is horrible. Start pay is $8 but expect much more then job description for 8. Never give raises and if they did they cap out at $18 GM. $10 front desk . $12h for the Director of the Personal Training Department! $8 paid to train per session! But Clients training cost is $25-50 per session. Training $$$$ Monthly goals are unrealistic for many areas. Its a Bargain price gym that's located 90% of the time in you're average income to lower income neighborhood. Unless you get to work in gym with desireable market for training in Carrollwood or Weston or Boca, ie places where avg household income is over +60k and avg age of populus is 40-70 you will never hit you're always increasing monthly goal therefore recieving youre entire bonus which is 70 percent of you're income. Policies fluctuate way too much. Gym employee culture in Youfit is Similar to used car dealerships SALE SALE SALE and not about fitness.

Pros

It is somewhat low stress if you know how to manage a gym.

Cons

Upper Management, Regionals, Execs, etc great you like Children. They have no trust in faith in skills. Some regionals shouldn’t were very questionable on how they got their positions. They talk down to you making you feel worthless. Company seems to be going out of business. No growth opportunities. They promise you promotions and the world to try and keep you but never follow through.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on Glassdoor. I am sorry you left our company, and I am sorry that you left not feeling good about our company. I have to respectfully disagree with you on your statements towards our leadership teams in the AZ market. I do believe that they have faith in our club leaders in running their clubs - but this has to be completed successfully - as you stated. Although we have closed some clubs in the AZ market, we are not going out of business. Lastly, I will say that the growth potential for our team has been slowed due to the pandemic, we still have opportunities, and we strive to promote our team members into career developing positions. I am assuming you recently left, so I wish you the best with your new career and hope that you and your family remain safe and healthy. Best regards, Stu Smith - Executive Director, Team Department.

Pros

The members and some coworkers:)

Cons

1.If you decide to be an Ops Manager be prepared to be under paid. 2. Be prepared to deal with a lot of lazy General Managers and Fitness Directors that don’t want to see you succeed. 3. Be prepared to do all the work of sales and keeping the entire team together. 4 .Be prepared to not be taken serious. 5. Be prepared for dedicating your life to the club because you will have no support( even tho they say they will they will not.) 5. Crappy weekends still working from home. 6. Being shifted all the customer problems to you because GM only care about sales not the customer service. 7. Be prepared for No support from Regionals. 8. Be prepared to be a punching bag because you will be emotionally drained from this position alone.
