Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re always striving to provide clarity and transparency about the expectations of our roles and the opportunities available to our team members. When you joined our team, you understood you would be stepping into a senior creative leadership position, one with a clear job description that required strong skills across digital design, branding, and campaign development—core areas of our agency’s client work. While you presented yourself as multi-faceted in these areas, once you joined, it became clear your skills were primarily limited to smaller graphic design projects which limited your effectiveness for our clients. We worked with you for a year, but your skills created significant gaps in client delivery (often missing deadlines or delivering to the wire) and required each of our other three team leads to step in at various times to cover gaps or to coach you through feedback. They had to juggle their roles and some of yours. We provided multiple opportunities for growth, including a 90-day formal development plan with creative coaching sessions from an experienced Creative Director and consistent feedback. Unfortunately, the required improvements weren’t met within that timeframe, even after extending to you an extra month. As a final help, we offered you an alternative designer role on the team with adjusted expectations, which you declined. Ultimately, for the sake of our clients and team, we needed to bring in a new Creative Director, who has since been successful in the role now for several years. We regret that the role didn’t work out as originally intended. Our business relies on delivering top-quality creative work for our clients, and maintaining that standard is central to our values. We wish you the best in your future career endeavors!

Dishonesty from Management

Pros

The co-workers were excellent and are excellent at their jobs. Learned a lot from them.

Cons

Reported directly to the CEO/Owner. The core vales that are projected via the company website and from within are not lived out from the top. Very often met with rudeness and lack of mutual respect. Very often openly berated in meetings. For those applying and interviewing, proceed with caution.

We were genuinely surprised to see your review, especially since you were always so kind and complimentary in the office. From a personal standpoint, we all truly enjoyed having you on our team. None of these concerns were raised in your reviews, check-ins, or even with our ownership, which makes this review feel unexpected given the many opportunities available to share feedback if this was such an important issue for you. We also invested in your training and were happy to encourage you when you moved on to pursue other passions and opportunities. That’s why this review feels inconsistent with the working relationship we had. After your time here, you continued to take on months of contract work from us, and we were glad to provide that to supplement you financially. While an outside independent auditor found some critical mistakes in your campaigns (overspending and results), we still valued having you on our team and enjoyed working with you personally. If you ever want to give us a call, we’d always be happy to talk with you about your experience and how we could've improved in your mind.
