Pros

Great way to learn about a local market and its community. If you are starting a career, it can help get your get feet wet in broadcast. They paid staff on time.

Cons

Non profit salary rate with no cause. Big ego leadership trickling from ZGS corporate and local station . Micromanagement. Not a professional station environment. High expectations in workload with little incentives.

Pros

On-Time payment ( payroll employees ); The payroll gets always on time, that is the only thing I can't complain about.

Cons

Late payments (freelancers) Unfair treatment from Supervisors: You want a day or two off? It better be something life threatening! and bring a full report of what you've done during those days... no matter If they were taken from your personal days off. Really bad management and incentives It's the kind of place where no matter what you do to improve your work it will never be recognized. Supervisors are not so well paid so what kind of leadership do you expect? In my personal experience an incentive was never given by my direct supervisor, nor the station's Director. Better explained: I have always done more than what my contract stated, but regardless to that, at the first "unintentional mistake" I did I got fired. And that was due a technical accident, so why didn't they get the technician fired instead of me? Now they created a new position to cover all the extra work that I had to do besides cameraman. (Special Show Segments and Promos Production and Post-Production) VERY, VERY DISSAPOINTED...
