Pros
I've been an agent with zirx for a while now. It's a very new startup, so really exciting to see a company grow and change. As an agent, you get to run around the city and drive really cool cars. I get to work out and drive Teslas all day! The pay is really good for the nature of the job. No real brainwork necessary. The pay is also all about how much you hustle. You get paid per hour and per car, so if you are down to get really active, you can make enough to enjoy living in the bay. On top of the pay, meals are provided for agents when we work a set amount of hours. I could totally do without, but that's a really nice touch. Shows that they care about us on the streets. Super flexible independent contract position. I don't need to put miles on my car taxiing people or making deliveries, so huge money saver. Feel like you are making real change. I know that sometimes I'm the first person a customer will interact with for the day, so it's really nice knowing that I have that impact of setting the tone for their day.
Cons
As a startup, many changes have been implemented throughout my time here. However, there is terrible communication about the changes, especially when it directly affects pay. But, the changes haven't been bad ideas. I'm making more now because I only work the busy hours which have a very nice payout. There's a bit of a disconnect between agents on the street and those in the office. Even though most of them started out as agents, it's totally different on the street now, and I don't think they totally get that. No benefits - independent contract work.
