Hi there, As a start-up company, we are going through explosive growth and because of that growth, we have identified realistic training and onboarding as a great need. This is something that is currently being built, and we ask all employees to bear with us as we grow and build new tools. We invite our candidates to ask any and all questions during interviews including how we are making these changes, and what to expect. We are so excited for our future growth and training developments! Thank you, ZLINE Kitchen and Bath

Pros

Dog friendly office Catered lunches

Cons

As others have pointed out, the favoritism and nepotism are insane. When I worked there, there was no work from home allowed, and if there ever was (like when the power went out, which it did constantly because I believe the owners son did all the work), you were micromanaged to death. If you didn't immediately reply on Slack, you were hounded. The office events were painful, because they are so into their company culture. If you are an introvert, you are pretty much ostracized because if you leave a party or a half work day, everyone comments on it. If you have a doctor's appointment, or need to get your kid from school, you have to work through lunch, no leniency. You are micromanaged to the nth degree, no matter what you do. There are genuinely good and talented people there, but most of the people are toxic.

Pros

Occasional taco trucks. Discounts on products Work/Life Balance. You drop everything at 5:30 PM. (Good or bad, however you want to take it)

Cons

Extremely racist. I heard a racist joke from another team. Don't really want to repeat. White company. Almost all managers are white, lack of diversity. Elitist/Favoritism. They buy Porsche Cars for their favorite managers, instead of using the money to give raises to all employees. I would've loved to have even just a 25c increase on my salary. Managers are to be parked up front, not even for those who are disabled. Sawsomeone with mobility issues and they still didn't let them park up front. Come see the infamous "Porsche Parking Only" up front. Micromanaging. Lunch must be taken from 12:00-1:00 PM, no questions asked. Apparently, it used to be flexible. Not sure what happened. Favoritism. I've learned that if they are not "feeling the vibe" (you don't play their type of music, you don't go out on their after-work parties, you don't drink...) they will find a way to kick you out, even if you are good at your job. In order to get "accepted," you'd have to be either athletic, pretty, or rich. Not competitive pay. Need I say more? Porsche money first, then employees.

Hello there, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review on our Glassdoor site. At ZLINE, we are proud to report that we celebrate diversity and provide an inclusive and growth-focused environment. We take pride in hiring the right person for the position, regardless of race, and have developed a tried and true interviewing experience that is both qualitative and quantitative. With the average demographics of Reno, NV being “72.2% White, 9.22% Other races, 7.2% Asian, and 6.32% Two or more races” (worldpopulationreview.com) we have a modest but more favorable representation, that we know will improve as our organization grows and more diversity moves into our community melting pot. ZLINE in Reno has a demographic rate of 68% White, 15.6% LatinX, and 9.4% of Two or more other racial identities per our voluntary survey. We strive to ensure each person hired here has the same incredible opportunity for growth and success, and we celebrate our differences as they help strengthen our business. We do not tolerate negative words at our place of business. Please rest assured this will be addressed. Please reach out if there is anything we may do to further rectify this situation.
