Pros

Most people are talented and pleasant to work with. The work can be really interesting.

Cons

- Very little client work and non in the foreseeable future. - Made people redundant and didn't even tell the clients they were working with. - People told they were no longer a cultural fit and made to feel like they were being sacked. - Toxic culture at club level. - 'Cultural fit' is a weapon. Management changes this year have ruined the culture of the company. It's moved from open, honest and transparent to secrets and lies. There's an inner circle now that if you cross, you will be removed from the company. Cultural fit is being used as a weapon. If you have an opinion that is different to one of the inner circle, then you are not a cultural fit and you will be sacked. You won't even be asked for your point of view or allowed to defend yourself, you simply don't fall in line with the inner circle.

Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback on your experience here at Zaizi. We are proud to have such talented staff at Zaizi and we are happy to hear you found the projects interesting. We know redundancies can be a difficult process for everyone involved. While the cultural fit was a factor, the selection for redundancy also considered other things, such as performance and having the right skills for our future growth. Companies use values to ensure everyone is aligned with the same vision and goal. While you've expressed concern about it being used negatively, company values are used to cultivate a company culture that fosters teamwork and achieves overall success. We aim to embrace our values (People, Passion, Purpose) by putting people first, delivering impactful projects whilst bringing passion to our work. That being said, of course, there's always room for improvement, and we'll take on board any feedback that allows us to reflect and learn

Pros

The other engineers were friendly

Cons

I was discriminated against due to my disability An Access to Work Workplace Assessment was completed which gave the company a list of reasonable adjustments to make. The reasonable adjustments were not made. They refused to make reasonable adjustments such as buying equipment to allow me to complete my duties. I was forced to carry my personal equipment to and from the office daily, this caused damage to my equipment. HR and manager lied to me when I asked about updates on the reasonable adjustments, my manager told me HR was in the process of purchasing the equipment, yet HR told me the line manager told them I did not need the equipment anymore. I injured my wrist due to the lack of reasonable adjustment. HR did not want to add my injuries to the accident logbook. HR dared to give me medical advice on my condition that went against the advice of the healthcare specialists I was seeing. I was let go just before the end of my probation period. They claimed I was not able to complete my duties. I agree, I could not complete my duties without reasonable adjustments.

Zaizi hasn’t hired any WebOps engineers for about 4 years and we have all been working remotely for over 20 months, so I’m not sure when this event happened - perhaps it’s the wrong organisation? If it was Zaizi, I am sorry for your experience. Employee wellbeing has always been key for us. We follow the correct procedures with regards to logging incidents and following up on requests for equipment and adapting our ways of working. Zaizi offers everyone £250 to buy any equipment they need to adapt to working from home. Take a look at our ‘It’s OK to’ poster to get a window into how the team is always trying to find ways to help and support each other. We are always looking to improve, so please do get in touch so we can get some feedback to understand what we could do to improve.
