Depends on the department

Pros

Should you be looking for a job in Marketing, Analytics, Busines Development it will be an amazing place to work. The progression seems to be open, there is a varied amount of work and the business pushes these departments to internally promote as well as paying way over the going rate for those departments. Also there are a lot of the people in the company that have been there for years who genuinely care and have a love for the company and its progression; it makes for a better working environment.

Cons

Pension and benefits are terrible. Most chief executives have no technical background so in running a finTECH company, it isn't encouraging. Should you work in the Tech team (DevOps, Development, Service Delivery, Digital Delivery, Testers), finance team, Operations (Back office, Risk, AML etc.), you will get a lot of work; most of which is repetative and you get very little to no credit for the work you do. The progression in these departments are also limited, there is very little internal promotion, any leadership or management roles are often filled externally without the people within those departments being considered.

Pros

Remote working and Salary are the only Pros of working for this company.

Cons

Unprofessional Training, Management and Working Procedures which are not adhered to by regulatory requirements. I have been employed by the business for over a year now as a senior analyst and also take on various other projects. There is no room for progression and new starters are promised things which are not delivered. They are made to feel that management are very friendly, aprochable and that there would be plenty of coaching and support throughout their training and career however there is anything but!!!! A number of new starters have been dismissed within the first 6 weeks of employment without being given prior notice, warning or time to improve such as a performance improvement plan or taken down the route of a Disciplinary Procedure. New starters have also been promised the same salary as existing staff. Following a conversation with one of the newbies I found they were on considerably less. I find this tottaly unfair and unethical most of all misleading coming from an organisation where employees are suppose act with honesty and integrity. There is no room for progression despite constantly being told there is. I would really consider applying for a position here. I would not leave a stable job for bribery over a competitve salary or career progression.
