No Growth, Poor Mentorship & Lack of Meaningful Work

Lack of Meaningful Projects: When I first joined, I was assigned tasks that felt like leftover work—projects that no one else wanted to take on. They lacked importance and impact, making it difficult to feel valued. Limited Mentorship: Despite a "buddy" system, mentorship was nearly nonexistent. There was little guidance from senior team members, especially in tech, and since my projects weren’t a priority, there was no real effort to help me grow. Work-Life Balance: Unreasonable expectations from business teams asking weekend work or mandatory "connectivity" sessions during personal time. Communication & Transparency: Updates and feedback were sporadic. Days would pass without any communication, only to be followed by sudden demands for updates with little context or direction. I was frustrated. Office Culture: Long-term employees seemed resistant to change, Many remote employees appeared disengaged, and overall, there was little effort to integrate or support new hires. I re-evaluated my path. Fortunately, I found a role at a company that values both work and growth.
