Pros

Amazing people. Most of the clients and projects are quite interesting. Pretty relaxed work environment. Outstanding place to grow.

Cons

Recruiting cannot keep up with growth and sales refuse to slow down with new clients. As a result required allocations for new clients are filled up with people from existing teams, thus stretching everything thin. This means that usually new projects are started prematurely and without coherent plan, requiring a lot of compromises to be made early on. There's also an issue of seniority being slowly drained as senior staff that leave are often replaced by juniors. Salaries are on lower-end of the spectrum.

Pros

Irrelevant to the current review.

Cons

Worked in Lithuanian office. Joining this company has been the biggest mistake of my life and it is highly unlikely that there will ever be another event or decision that will be more detrimental to my life than joining Zenitech. This statement is not exaggerated. By joining this company I sacrificed far better offers for career progression. The company seemed to be a great work environment: adopting the latest tech stack, broad scope of development tooling, great Glassdoor reviews. When in reality the actual workplace was nothing like it’s interview process and reviews would lead to believe. The workplace is extremely toxic. Tech lead of first project constantly kept repeating ”dominate, humiliate, rule” with a smile on his face while practicing such behavior in daily work while the code design and implementation of the employee is by no means exceptional or difficult to replace with the work of other candidates: basic code that is copied over between projects without proper review retaining defects, creating conventional applications that require little modification from other standard applications with many examples online. Management either is apathetic or has no authority, since when this and other problems are introduced to them there are no consequences or responsibility taken for these issues. Work environment is terrible in general. Never before have I seen so many blockers anywhere else for performing daily duties, never have I had to work with more convoluted code. Working at this company required sacrificing better offers and I wasted my time working with some of the worst code I have ever seen in a highly toxic environment. This company is made for those that do not concern themselves with what value they are creating to society and is a “death sentence” to anyone with a sense of ambition. I deeply regret joining this company and it’s highly doubtful that any decision in the future will have greater consequences than joining Zenitech.

Thank you for your feedback. As a business, we value open communication and I appreciate being given the opportunity to reflect upon the points you have raised and to use this as a basis for improvement Your comments were saddening to read, and although they are not an overall reflection of our engagement results or the feelings of the people that I speak to on a day-to-day basis, this doesn’t make them any less valuable. We care about all of our employees and want everyone to feel valued with the ability to bring forward their own unique perspectives. It is clear that this was not your experience and I am genuinely sorry that we let you down. As a business, we care deeply about continuous growth, partnerships and communities. Our people team work extremely hard with all departments to create not only positive community-driven environments and a strong growth culture but to ensure that we have policies, processes, training and tools in place to support our employees and their development. The points you have raised have shown me that we need to ensure a consistently positive experience for all employees and feedback such as this is vital in ensuring that we get this just right. I am unable to comment on specific issues regarding individuals without sufficient background. However, I do know that our HR team would have taken your concerns seriously if raised during your time with us or following your exit interview and I will make sure to follow up on this. Likewise, I will look further into your points about the work standards in some areas. Our delivery teams are built up of extremely dedicated and talented professionals and such examples are certainly not a representation of the brilliant work produced by the vast majority of our employees and the standards to which Zenitech strives to uphold. Although your review was disheartening to read, we will use this feedback constructively. Please do feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss further as I would welcome the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the points raised, and to take appropriate actions. Once again, we are extremely sorry that your time with us wasn’t an enjoyable experience. We appreciate your contribution whilst at Zenitech and wish you all the very best for the future. Best regards, Jo Kasmir Global Head of Talent Joanna.kasmir@zenitech.co.uk
