Pros

In the earlier times of Zeus it was a great company, moves fast, lots of autonomy with your work and chances to jump in and help everywhere were welcomed. It was a great place to work. Once the company grew so quickly, it lost the culture that people really loved, and it felt like any other startup you've seen in the news.

Cons

After a pretty large restructure, there was no room for growth in many areas across the company. Promotions were offered with no offer of possible increase in compensation. Doesn't keep up with the culture so highly praised internally (specifically valuing employees, transparency and iteration). Co-Founders play favorites (specifically with employees during the recent round of layoffs). There is a huge lack of transparency overall regarding the state of the company.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that things changed so significantly for you over your time working at Zeus. We have to learn from our past mistakes, and feedback like this helps us do that. Pros

Great benefits, events and decent work/life balance.

Cons

Once top-level execs were hired, things really went downhill. Carelessness in organizational restructure. Minimal upward mobility, except for those that were favorites. Many recent changes at the company were not values-driven, despite that being the "most important" aspect of the company. In the end, we saw the leadership team's true colors. Being let go publicly, in group Zoom calls amongst your peers and finding out about mass lay-offs just hours before, tells much more about the company and its leaders than their values ever did.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We learned a lot from the layoffs, and I agree, we could have done a better job in upholding our values through that process. If you’d ever like to share more feedback with me or the management team, please reach out. -Kulveer

Pros

When I was hired, there were a lot of pros - I got to work my dream job at a competitive salary, a new office, catered lunches, quarterly offsites.

Cons

As many perks as there were, Zeus's true colors showed during the pandemic that ensued massive, tiered lay-offs. Not only was I let go during a 5-minute Zoom call with no context, I was also given a 2-week joke of a severance, and was told my laptop would have to be sent in via mail. Managers were forbidden to reach out to their direct reports, leaving ex-employees completely in the dark. Zeus showed their maturity in this moment -- losing control of their authority as a trust-worthy company and forgetting their employees are real humans.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the way we handled our reductions last year and specifically your departure colored your entire experience at Zeus. Laying off our staff was an incredibly challenging event for us - and one that in retrospect should have been handled differently. We've learned so much about the importance of honoring our values over these last 16 months and we'll use these learnings to ensure our actions are consistent with our values going forward. If you're up for a discussion, I'd love to connect and hear your concerns directly. Respectfully, Kulveer
