- Terrible management and middle management. - Complete lack of direction with regards to the future of the zoos. - Answer to everything is to put staff through a two hour course to tick boxes without actually addressing issues. - A GOVT organization that advertises as not for profit but begs millionaires for money any chance they get.

The culture mirrors the university sector. There's a dedicated frontline workforce overshadowed by management with weak accountability and a hard-edged, often ruthless style. They bank on a constant queue of applicants as presenters to keep staff on insecure contracts with poor conditions and treat them as disposable. The result is exploitation and depleted morale.
