- Upper management, particularly the Executive team, are so disconnected with how things are in the office. Almost all of the Executive team works remotely, so communication is awful and there is little to no planning because of it.
- The President of the company and the Founder ask for input, but threaten the jobs of people who do recommend improvements to the office or systems.
- Because sales have dropped off significantly and the company has laid off about 20% of their corporate staff, the environment at the office is very toxic and nervous.
- The Sales Management is really lacking in vision and understanding of how to grow company sales. Promotions are not well thought out and rarely is there any follow-up to see if a promotion was successful or not.
- Everybody in Senior Management wants to have a say in nearly every company project, but nobody wants to have the final say, so projects are rarely completed on time. If they are completed on time, the work is typically incomplete.
- Very little upward mobility. Even when they were growing, there were very few actual promotions outside of the Executive Team members getting bigger titles.
