I have been working at Zuto full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Such exciting times ahead for Zuto, being part of a very big picture is something I take great pride in. The people at Zuto work hard and give results, they are supported and nurtured through this to breed the amazing culture we have throughout the business, departments looking after each other to get to goals together!!

    Cons

More group events when we are allowed (not zuto’s fault)

I have been working at Zuto full-time

    Pros

the teams and staff are all great, everyone is pretty respectful and helpful and it makes the day go much quicker. The managers are very empathetic and caring. The company in general is very Good at understanding that people need to look after their mental health and they have been great and keeping us all safe through covid

    Cons

It is hard work, targets are hard to get and the social life to work balance does get very unbalanced sometimes as you need to hit targets to keep the job. Which would be understandable but the targets are usually hard and we get paid basically nothing in comparison to sales regarding targets.

I have been working at Zuto full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good basic and commission, earning more than i have in any other sales role, need to put the hours in but well worth it Everyone works well together - everyone does their bit or helps out Good place to be have a good laugh and the managers support you a lot in learning the role and settling in Leads are the best i've worked with and others say the same, partnered with other big companies so we get the best, makes my role worthwhile and targets achievable Get asked to be involved in projects going on in the business, it's nice to be recognised and asked for my ideas or experience Lot of people progress internally and can see why, nice to talk to people in roles and find out how they have been able to move around the business

    Cons

Some people who work here haven't worked in other places where the leads aren't as good or don't want to put in extra time to get the most out of it. For me, that's part of any good sales role so i don't mind but it's annoying to hear some people don't appreciate what we've got.

I have been working at Zuto full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good team atmosphere, great commission if you put the effort in. Business looking to invest in making work better. Senior managers are always there to talk to and don't shy away from getting stuck in.

    Cons

high expectations which might not suit someone who has lots of outside of work commitments and doesn't want to put in extra hours when needed to hit target

I worked at Zuto full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Cake, cake and .... more CAKE!

    Cons

Change after change after change..... It got worse year, after year, after year for us while the fat cats at the top, laugh their way to the bank. Feedback is pointless, many ideas were put forward only to be knocked back. Work stress is a common issue here.

I have been working at Zuto full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There’s a Burger King next door

    Cons

Company used to care about its staff and look after them, since the new management team has come in its like you don’t matter, they don’t bother to get to know you on a personal or individual levels, just want to hammer you about targets and call stats. If you’re looking for a job that will last 3 months then this is perfect for you. Team leaders like the job title of being a team leader but don’t actually have a clue what to do... they’re just yes people and that’s why higher management love them. There is a quiz sometimes at the busiest hours of the day... always a good idea. There’s not a togetherness off people or teams, it’s everyman for himself. Targets aren’t achievable without doing overtime and if you do overtime you’re not guaranteed to get paid for it... so you can work all month long and still not get any bonus. Targets have been set with the promise of earning a lot of money but you will have to work everyday to do so... they know you’re probably not going to hit them which is good for them as you’ve still made them money but they don’t have to pay your commission. No real support during these hard times. Training is none existing. No bank holidays off Always run out of milk. Computers don’t work, chairs break easily. Took to many holidays from me because of lockdown, took more than I had actually earned.

I have been working at Zuto full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The basic salary is decent and the Manchester office is very nice. Most of the sales team are great people with a real mix of backgrounds and they will get you through the day.

    Cons

After lockdown, things have drastically changed. Almost half of the lenders on the panel are not back yet so there are far less options for customers. A significant portion of the leads that come through are with one lender which takes several days to review customers pay slips or two weeks to review their bank statements if they are self-employed. This of course means a lot of the leads go cold as customers go elsewhere to source finance far more quickly. Meanwhile the number of customers that get to this point and get an approval is obviously down compared to pre-covid due to lenders tightening their criteria. Despite this, we are expected to hit a full target of 39 each month. The tiny number people who actually hit this target only do so because they either work all the overtime they possibly can and/or because they are one of the managers favourites and therefore get more leads assigned to them. Realistically you'd have to be very very lucky to get 30+ deals if you're not a favourite and don't do any overtime. The objective of the senior management here is glaringly obvious: get all the sales staff working all the overtime possible, get as many deals as possible and set a ridiculously high target that few people will achieve so the company can keep the finance commission and barely pay a penny out in commission to the sales staff. The senior management will bully and hound you to do overtime and will make you feel guilty for daring to have a life outside of work. And in order to stop anyone challenging the managers, they threaten sales staff with recorded discussions for discussing perfectly acceptable topics such as targets, lead allocation, troubles with lenders, etc... This is a woeful company to work for, just like any standard bottom of the barrel call centre with a revolving door recruitment policy. Whatever you do, do not apply to work here! They will sell you a dream and then you'll get a few months in, the earning potential they boast of will not materialise and you'll realise you've made a horrible mistake. You will be micro managed, threatened with recorded discussions and disciplinary, bullied into overtime, data will be manipulated, twisted and hidden to lay the blame for anything and everything that goes wrong solely on you. You will feel like you're in primary school again with the way they treat sales staff here. Absolutely avoid this place like the plague!
