Pros

WONDERFUL and brilliant people at some levels/in some teams, smart individuals, good pulse on remote inclusion.

Cons

Upper leadership is unreasonable, not open to suggestion for improvement from those on front lines. Toxic and cliquey work environment if not a “favorite.” Unclear, constantly rising expectations resulting in an inability to ever meet them. Most people in prominent leadership are cis hetero white men and extremely small representation of diversity.

Pros

I think this is a good place to get started in tech/software and gain some experience, jsut dont cont on progressing here. Flexible work schedule (depending on team/manager)

Cons

0 upward progression at all. During my 2 years at Zylo I observed only 1 individual on my team ever being promoted or receiving a title change. For myself, despite receiving “outstanding” ratings on both annual reviews, I was never given a chance to progress. Instead, in the final eight months of my employment, I was essentially coerced into assuming the role of my previous manager, taking on that entire workload in addition to the numerous projects I was already working on, without and official title change or compensation adjustment. This exploitation was accompanied by the threat of termination if I dared to resist. Adding insult to injury, the meager pay increases of 2% in the first year and a mere 1% in the second year resulted in a net decrease in pay due to the removal of the tech stipend. When I requested a raise for my work/contributions, I was met with dismissiveness and disrespect. Instead of engaging in a constructive dialogue, I was instructed to seek alternative offers elsewhere, with the implication that my worth to the company was only as good as the highest bidder. Upper management at Zylo was a disaster in itself, displaying a complete lack of vision and direction. Their reactive approach to problem-solving only exacerbated issues, with no proactive measures in place to address foreseeable challenges. Despite repeated attempts to highlight impending issues, management consistently turned a blind eye, fostering an environment of uncertainty and disillusionment. Furthermore, the manager on my team was a micro-manager of the worst kind, setting unrealistic goals and SLAs, and refusing to provide necessary support or guidance. His preferred mode of communication was through gaslighting on Slack, creating a toxic work environment where individuals were left to fend for themselves. This toxic atmosphere led to the departure of two team members prior to my own resignation.

Pros

Good benefits Unlimited PTO WFH stipend

Cons

Lack of growth - no pathway laid out for BDRS to move into AE roles. Cut half their AEs due to not hitting revenue goals. Lack of leadership from BDR management, they play favorites and tend to promote anyone who does anything they want. Lack of compensation for enterprise BDRS should be more than 45K a year.
