The feeling of being 'mission driven'

Cons

The CEO, while an enthusiastic vegan, lacks leadership skills and business acumen - budget management was very poor and many suppliers were left without being paid. When he fired the entire office a year ago, citing cash flow issues, he didn't bother showing up on everyone's last day, and instead went on holiday to Bali to climb a mountain.

The mission was good in theory.

Cons

The engineering lead watched every minor detail, questioning employees about the smallest decisions instead of frustrating their expertise. Autonomy was nonexistent, and employees had to get approval for even the simplest tasks. The culture of micromanagement slowed dow productivity and morale.

Organic and vegan food products were actually good.

Cons

Good people leaving, turnover was terrible and constantly increasing, who's the blame here isn't just the managers but also the CEO! He likes to control people and this control freak is stressing everyone and making us miserable! It's a toxic attitude that's unbearable!
