Excellent place to grow as a software engineer
Pros
I really enjoy working here! The software engineers here are high-caliber - dedicated, intelligent, and friendly. In particular, the leaders of the engineering team are super smart, well-regarded in the industry, and have a track record of making smart, well-balanced decisions for the our team and the wider company. We have a strong culture of technical mentorship and career growth. This company has provided me the opportunity to quickly expand my skill-set by gaining meaningful experience with new languages/frameworks/etc.
Cons
Since we're a relatively small team that's needs to move quickly, sometimes our processes can feel a bit disorganized. Just a bit. E.g. we would probably benefit from some more documentation and/or conversations to keep all parties in sync. That being said, overall, I think we strike a good balance between too little process and too much process.
