Pros

I got a paycheck and health coverage.

Cons

The CEO is a narcissistic, racist, misogynistic dictator. He finds ways to make you feel as small as possible. He leads by intimidation and everyone kisses his butt because they are too afraid to do otherwise I've read some of these 4 and 5 star reviews and all I can say is they are likes. The CEO has his NYU interns write those to help his appearance because that is all he cares about. Do not interview here. Do not take a job here. And run far from anyone who says you should.

Pros

Best agency ever....NOT! In all honesty, there are no pros. Not one! Not sure how this place can humanly still be around, since they (Frank, CCO) refuses to treat people like human beings and more like puppets. Frank makes the mail room guys dress like slaves and has them so scared it's just inhumane.

Cons

Sure they get new business now and then, but that is all smoke and mirrors. How do they do it? They run the puppets into the ground while belittling and threatening them along the way. Not only is AFG a bad agency doing very bad advertising, they are completely unethical. I've never seen so much back stabbing in one place in my life. They have a few "leaders" there that bow down to their fierce leader Frank, and they will throw people under a bus, literally to make him happy. Frank is the most insane person who, and loves "getting off on inflicting pain on people, young and old." He's has made many young girls cry and makes them feel insecure in their job and in life. Who does that? Life is short and tough enough...maybe that's the reason most people don't last but a few months there after being hired. It's very sad. Oh...and most of the CDs there will tell young girls..."dress more sexy, Frank will like you more." Really???

Pros

Convenient midtown manhattan location, nice office space, most people who work there are hard workers, smart and are genuinely good people who help each other as best as they can. Free coffee is a plus.

Cons

Senior management maintains a dictatorship. There are NO reviews and instead of mentoring in the normal way, people are literally yelled at and put down. Young creatives leave quickly and some of the longterm employees just try to hang in there and grin and bear it. The motto "all for one and none for all" definitely applies. There are very few raises and the word "bonus" is not in this agency's vocabulary. Hard work is not appreciated and definitely not rewarded.
