Pros

If you are looking for a work environment with no egos, that embraces collaboration and teamwork, BuyerZone is the place for you! If you are looking for a company that values its employees and offers great opportunities for career development, BuyerZone is the place for you! I started out working in the Web Development department at BuyerZone. Shortly after I expressed interest in doing higher level development, I was offered the opportunity to move to the Engineering department. This is a company that will rise to the challenge if you ask for more. Our agile development environment, close-knit team, and skilled leadership make this job exciting and rewarding on a daily basis.

Cons

Anything that isn't handled internally, for example IT support and purchasing, must go through the parent company of BuyerZone and is subject to many levels of red tape, hassels, and delays.

Pros

- Great, hardworking employees - Decent collaboration between groups although teams are not nearly as specialized as they need to be

Cons

- Certain C-level execs think they know how to do other people's jobs after reading a couple of articles online, try to dictate what teams do and ignore 'expert' recommendations - Little to no respect for the work employees produce nor is there recognition of talent as well as a strong aversion and distaste for people bringing new ideas to the table - Company announced layoffs days before actually letting employees go... extremely out of touch

Pros

Good value proposition to both the buyer and seller 'compare multiple quotes and save'

Cons

Not always true to the value proposition, margin and revenue are paramount. Channel mix changes like the weather and affilaite relationships have severly impacted lead quality. They sell the leads to too many sellers & affiliates so buyers are overwhelmed with the response and sellers fail because they can't contact the buyer. Affiliates sell BZ underperforming sub par leads. It's a viscious and continious cycle that took me years to see. They've burned through many top national brand client relationships over the years making growing and maintaing the existing book of business mission impossible. Plus as a rep you have to sell against the affilates that sell BZ's leads for less than you can. When you have net new biz dev success from your efforts it will be because BZ built it, not a result of your tenacious sales skills. Mgmt wrote of my success as blue birds when only one new national signing out of eleven was a trade show blue bird

We always appreciate hearing feedback – positive or negative. Our number one mission is to help connect buyers and sellers considering complex purchases, and that does involve a number of marketing channels, client relationships and partners. Within any marketplace, a constant balance is needed and we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for everyone involved. That said, we’re really proud of our very high client retention rate, which is not only reflective of the quality of our product but of our great sales and client management teams. Of course, we want individuals to succeed personally, but also within the context of our broader team. Teamwork has always been a critical component of our success, and we strongly believe it’s why people love working at BuyerZone. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and best of luck in your next role.
