Pros

Interesting place to work with a lot of creative energy. The people are friendly overall and there’s always something different going on, which keeps the job from feeling repetitive. Good experience for anyone who likes a hands-on environment and wants to learn.

Pros

I joined deVOL as a bench joiner 11 years ago having previously worked in a different manufacturing industry. The company then was small, but the work was consistent, fast paced and the growth in the first year was there for all to see. I could see the potential for members of staff to progress so worked hard and went above and beyond to put my name forward. My hard work was rewarded by becoming a workshop manager. As the years went by the work and workforce continued to grow, this gave further chance for myself and others to develop as well as the company itself as it showed continuous growth year after year. The faith shown in me by the managing director along with senior management, to guide, develop and grow as a person and colleague has been amazing as is a testament to them. Most recently the company signed all staff up to help@hand, which gives access to remote gps, physiotherapy and mental health help that may be required. They have also done the same with a life insurance policy which hopefully, won't ever be used but is a positive for staff members next of kins. The company also provides a summer and christmas party, along with two seperate team building activities which can be used anytime during the year. Holiday allowance has also been increased along the board along with staff priveleges. My time at deVOL has been nothing short of positive and I look forward to continue growing personally and helping the company grow.

Cons

break times could be abit longer.

Pros

I have been employed at deVOL for more than ten years. Initially, I joined the company with limited experience in the industry. Through dedication and hard work, I have consistently received recognition for my efforts. Each employee recieves annual appraisals, and our rewards are based on our performance. My enjoyment of working for this company is reflected in my twelve years of service. I work with some amazing people, including the Managing Director, who is genuinely kind and goes above and beyond to support his staff, as well as senior managers and newer team members who have recently joined. The upper management is both fair and accommodating, offering assistance to employees facing personal challenges when they seek help. Over the years, I have witnessed significant growth in Devol, not only in terms of the expansion of the business and workshops but also regarding the additional benefits provided. The holiday allowance has been enhanced, team outings have been organized, a bike-to-work scheme has been implemented, and the Help@Hand app has been introduced, which is an excellent resource for those facing mental health challenges or needing to consult a GP on the same day.

Cons

Currently, we are situated in a more spacious facility, which may allow for slightly longer breaks due to the increased distance from various areas to the canteens.
