    I worked at eBay full-time

    Pros

Working with passionate and talented people and in a company who is going through some exciting changes.

    Cons

Can be difficult to get anything off the ground or change any process due to structure and being part of a large global business. People management in certain areas needs improvement.

I worked at eBay full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They like to over-inflate the "pros," as they suggest workplace flexibility but they don't allow it to occur. The business is failing.

    Cons

too many to name. In the States Ebay is a good place to work. Here in Sydney, the culture is terrible. If you think "beers on a Friday," is a good way to incentivize workers, then I as the next generation will run you out of town.

    Advice to Management

Revamp your entire culture process. Isn't it troubling that you try exert due diligence for high caliber talent but you don't get any? Constantly hiring and re-hiring, burning through headcount, how can the Board be satisfied?

I have been working at eBay full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    great life work balance
    free lunch/drinks
    plenty of social events

    Cons

    no coherent vision or strategy
quick to celebrate 'wins', absolute silence at failures
middle management is below average but as the hang around the longest, they promote each other around -> hence mediocre results, chasing away all new talent coming in

    Advice to Management

change HR to work on development of the organisation (paying for drinks does not equal building culture)
stop moving around people to promote them up - they have 'knowledge' from hanging a round so long, but no competences to lead
use and connect to all your employees - a lot of talent leaves due to a lack of opportunities and chances to contribute
think/share in a realistic manner about the main competitor threats
