Pros

Just a few good team members.

Cons

1) Hiring contractors who work and leave. Contractors do not leave any documentation so every time a new person joins , the team spends hours and learn by making many expensive mistakes. The learning is all gone again in the next hiring cycle. 2) Documentation is not encouraged as much as it should be. 3) Always an excuse by employees that unfortunately the systems are not efficient and that nothing much can be done unless it comes from senior management. 4) Bullies taking advantage of this situation and withholding information so only one or two people come across as competent. 5) There are levels in technical teams and not every one can work evenly because of heavy hierarchies created even within the tech teams.

Pros

Flexible working Innovative culture Working to support NSW Health, this is a place with a deep and meaningful purpose Investment in developing senior female leaders

Cons

Male dominant, so have to be comfortable as a woman in STEM and as a female leader to sit at the table as the only woman (nothing new here!)
