Pros

As stated in other reviews, you're required to go above and beyond your job description so you end up with quite a list for your resume.

Cons

Firstly, if you value doing good work and taking pride in your accomplishments, turn around and apply elsewhere. This company is not interested in people who use common sense and professionalism. The management wants drones that follow orders without opinions, no matter if it's working out or not. Disagree and management will make your job ninety degrees of uncomfortable. The satisfaction of the consumer is at the bottom of the list, pleasuring the management's egos are at the top. Again, if you value your work and the customer, find other avenues of employment. On top of this, you'll be paid Walmart wages and be expected to do the jobs of multiple employees, all while being treated very poorly. The work environment there was less than satisfactory, to put it very mildly. Word of warning to potential interns: you won't learn anything, instead they'll put you to work on things that paid employees should be doing. Be smart, don't be blinded by your love of anime and manga. They count on that fact. You deserve to be paid for your services and to be treated with dignity.

Pros

The good things: - Co-workers are great. They are the only reasons why work is tolerable. - If you like conventions, they will attend a couple each year. Sometimes company paid depending where it's located. - Flexible work schedule. But odds are you will forever be part-time.

Cons

Where to begin: - Management is a complete joke. They are all stubborn and never want to listen to any ones opinions. What to change something about a book? Good Luck. Nothing like old people not wanting to change with the times. - CEO is dragging down the company because he would rather watch his company burn to print Tezuka (his pet project) than to print actual titles that will make money. - The micromanagement is intolerable. - No one is paid the wages they deserved. Don't get me started with DMG and other localizers not being paid... - People are fired without warning and without reason. - Having money issues? How about not having someone spend hundreds of dollars a month so they can import books for their viewing pleasure. - Ignores national holidays. There are many more issues I have with this company, but these points will have to do for now.

Pros

learn manipulation skills and how to move people to your advantage. meet some great friends who share your interests easy job once you become a robot after this place, most work situations will seem stress free they don't pay overtime, so you never have to work overtime

Cons

-Leadership is like a dictatorship. Expressing your ideas and caring about your profession and work is a waste of your breath and effort -You lose creativity because 2 old men are in charge of everything, and their dated ideas and instructions are final. -It will be a part of your job to waste time on projects you know will be unsuccessful because it was the flavor of the month with no planning or research. -Hired professionals' opinions are ignored and amateur, out-dated ideas are used. -Wages are getting lower every year -Don't be surprised if your hours and wages get cut -Communication is encouraged, but talking isn't -Hentai is porn with the same storyline, and sometimes you'll be exposed to rape and child porn manga material. -Your portfolio/resume will have material you don't want to show your next employer -You will most likely not get a raise. If you do, it'll be minimal like 50 cents after a year -The office sometimes smells like pot -You will witness and be subjected to power harassment from management -You're a potential hire if you will work for free or minimum wage -If you're not a native english speaker, miscommunication will be blamed on your "ESL" -Get all instructions in emails. Bosses will forget their previous instructions and you'll be reprimanded for their mistakes -When you disagree with the bosses, they will make your life miserable to encourage you to leave -Interns are put to work to make up for actual employees they won't pay for.
