Pros

the company puts forth a good façade but they are not honest about putting people first. The office space is nice but I doubt this company will be around much longer

Cons

they are not honest, they obviously do not know how to run a business. In there annual kick off meeting the kept talking about growth and how much they will be growing in 2023. 2 weeks later they laid off a lot of people including myself. They just hired me 3 month earlier. Another person that was laid off was hired 9 days before

Eric Neef responding, eric.neef@evolvconsulting.com or 214.697.3030 I appreciate your comments. I don't agree, however, I welcome the opportunity to explain here. We are honest. I'm unrelenting on that. Your statements about the timeline are factual and accurate. That time in our company history was the worst and hardest time. We were growing but had to cut some non-revenue-producing people/groups. Our announcement at the annual kick-off was true and real and has been realized in 2023. We have doubled in size (Team Members) and revenue ($40M). We do know how to run a business and I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss.

Big Vision, Poor Execution

Pros

- Strong team environment - Nice office - Good overall idea of how a firm should be

Cons

This is a firm that could have a lot of potential but is plagued by poor leadership. They do not have any real sense of direction and have been trying to force growth instead of allowing it to take place organically. They do not have any real differentiators especially when it comes to how clients view them. They do a little bit of everything as requested by clients but are one of the first firms to get cut when a client needs to make such cuts. Little to no brand recognition which makes it challenging for them to place people. They do not have a good process in place to obtain new clients nor do they understand how to effectively obtain new clients. Be careful if you're hired and make sure you have immediate placement or you WILL be cut.

Eric Neef responding: 214.697.3030 or eric.neef@evolvconsulting.com Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and thank you for realizing our big vision. We believe our solid execution will show over time. One of our differentiators, which is not popular or common in consulting, is that we do not have a traditional success metric like "low turnover" because that breeds a culture of retention vs. performance. We have a culture of high performance. We are continually leveling up our skills, both in executive leadership (myself included) and in our consulting ranks. Transparently, when I started the firm, I wanted low turnover. Our high performers taught me that we should focus on retaining our highest performers, not low turnover. Our highest performers appreciate that. We are continuing to seek the highest performing and most driven consultants which is why we changed the word in our core values from "passion" to "drive". Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss this further.

A Last Resort

Pros

Good pay. Nice people. Average benefits. Nice office amenities.

Cons

Despite the constant preaching of being a people-first firm, this is simply not true. You’ll be hired into an uncertain environment and promptly discarded if you can’t be placed onto a client within a couple of weeks. If you get an offer, keep interviewing to have a fallback plan until you’re actually placed.
