Pros

There is a possibility to make good money. Only if you can close within their closing rate. They say commission but they really mean spiff.

Cons

You have to sell to folks that are on a fixed income, and convenience them to buy now and don't think about it. Or your closing rate sucks and you don't get paid for items you sold all during the week. Company still makes a lot of money, but you only make your hourly rate. The closing rate can vary, with hang ups, fax calls, transfers and drop calls. You have to drag out the call with Non buyers so you can keep your close rate down? They all are accounted for towards your closing rate. For example you can close on 25 items and close your rate can below their minimum and you will only make your hourly wage. That's not a commission and it's not a spiff if you don't make something.

Pros

It is full-time and provides insurance.

Cons

Non-Professionalism, Racism, Intimidation, Favoritism. Personally experience all of these and more. Management is very comfortable taking "liberties" with interpersonal relationships with employees.

Pros

if You desperately need a job, are a convicted felon, have zero work experience, have zero goals or hope of ever having a decent job, then this job is for you.

Cons

Hours, management, product, customer service, training, self worth, literally the only thing good about this job is that it provides a paycheck. You work 5 days a week, 4 weekdays and one weekend day. Most hours are 9 hour shifts and go to 10pm or 11pm. You are compensated based on a closing ratio with these poor, elderly prospects who call in. All of the sales reps are rude to the elderly and everyone is trained to only think about getting a credit card number, I watched time after time sales people taking advantage of elderly people who had no idea they were making a purchase (of $600 plus.) Literally out of 6 months working there and taking 1000s of calls, there was only 1 or 2 elderly customers who had a pleasant experience with this company. Firststreet markets only to elderly people, when they call in to inquire, the shark sales people are trained to get their credit card numbers, close the sale and hang up the phone. There is zero customer service. Most associates were drunk or high during work and working here was like being in jail. it was horrible and without a doubt the worst job and worst company I have ever worked for. Zero chance to advance, zero chance for a pay raise. I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone unless you are a convicted felon and cannot work anywhere else. I would rather be a janitor or trash man then ever walk back into this place. I am a 30 years old college educated worker.
