As stated, there are no raises. In the many years, I was there, the only way to get a raise was to move up via promotion, or via moving to a different department. Direct supervisors were generally well natured and supportive; however, anyone from the ED level on up was truly miserable to deal with or work with. There was a closed-door policy with all of them, and they never talked to you so much as regard you with contempt. I saw great ideas squashed. I saw people talked down to on a consistent basis. Goals were never clear nor quantified. You were simply a replaceable piece in the machine that was never appreciated or rewarded.
The benefits are terrible. Morale is low. Management is unhelpful and punitive.
Once the COVID-19 crisis hit, they were slow to respond. Then, announced layoffs despite touting strong profits earlier in the day via mass email.
