Got sold a job with a "really cool" "creative" agency with "unlimited holidays" and "freedom to work where you want". Its LIES. Everything is micromanaged to a tee and people make you feel awful and valueless at every stage of the day.
Its not creative. Very corporate.
Some senior staff choose when to say hi or not.
Hard work isnt rewarded - in an industry where antisocial hours are the norm - there is nothing in place to compensate for this. If it is, its played against you.
Unlimited holidays are counted and monitored closely and I even had meetings about leave when I wasnt even up to what would be a standard minimum amount. I never got back what I worked in overtime, let alone real holidays.
I got screwed over financially when I left.
Senior staff are rude, obnoxious, old school and this breeds downwards creating an awful environment to work in let alone thrive.
Team work is obsolete - people test you and are willing to let you lose without any support, training or encouragement.
Pay is low in the market, particularly terrible for junior staff - promotion is kept as a carrot dangling.
Lots of back stabbing and whispers in the background.
I was very unhappy here. There is no one to speak to about anything.
I know many people there who think the same.
