Great start for fresh graduates, but night shifts overlooked
Pros
It's a good place to start your career, especially if you're a fresh graduate. The pay isn't very high, but you'll gain hands-on experience right away. The work is fast-paced, and most tasks are treated as a priority, so you'll learn a lot in a short time.
Cons
One concern is that employees working the night shift in the Philippines do not seem to be given the same consideration when company events are scheduled. For example, during the Annual Physical Exam (APE), the schedule is usually from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Night shift employees either have to stay awake after finishing their shift until 9:00 AM, or wake up much earlier than usual before their shift just to attend. Instead of the company adjusting to accommodate them, the employees are expected to adjust. This can have a significant impact on their health and well-being. Even if there are only a few employees working the night shift, they should still be considered when planning company activities. Providing an extended schedule, separate time slot, or alternative arrangement would help ensure that all employees have equal access without compromising their health.
