Pros

ifb has an awesome work environment with a lot of good people. As a smaller consulting firm ifb is not regulated as bigger companies so there is a lot of freedom. The flat hierarchies allow to be open and the management allows people to be themselves as long as obviously people are respectful to others.

Cons

The salary negotiations are tough. Raises in my case were around 5%-6% per year. The discussions are tedious at times also as at the end of the year when performance is evaluated team leads try to find something they can evaluated as less than 100% satisfaction. However they are open to discuss.

Pros

if you want to understand how a bank runs effectivly (financial management, risk management) ifb is a great place to learn it. For every important topic you're going to find an expert. You'll also link into an wide network of the German financial industry.

Cons

The management team doesn't lead the company. It's more a muddling through and the different business units just do what they think it's right for them.
