Pros

Decent Pay Mental Health support

- Don't fall for the recent 5-star reviews. - There is continuous shift in priorities (almost every 3 months). Although they announce this in company-wide meetings to showcase transparency, how it translates for individuals is concerning. - There is no career path for people, one is just care-washed into dry promotions with added responsibilities. - The management is delusional about real people issues like burnout, training for first-time managers, and proper change management policies for teams, especially because of shifting product and market priorities. - Most of the time, cross-functional teams keep pointing fingers at other teams and form performance perceptions without full context. - Just providing mental health support cannot make a difference without the space to recover and make time for personal commitments. - When the revenue started reducing, it led to - no learning curve, and no autonomy, making people come back to the office and asking people to relocate. - Although HR takes quarterly reviews and is aware of the issues, no steps are taken actively to resolve them for good. As someone rightly points out in a recent review, the focus seems to be more on maintaining a good Glassdoor rating rather than ensuring employee well-being (the recent reviews in the first week of Nov 2024 prove it) - Even if you are doing decently good, they can fire you at times by saying there is no alignment with the company's culture and plans.

Addressing your concerns: 1. Shifting priorities: As a growing company in a volatile market, we try our best to keep up with the trends & shift in technology. While we transaparently share the same in our All-hands we understand how it may seem confusing to some folks. 2. Career growth: We’ve always believed in a merit-based culture that rewards ownership and results. To address career growth concerns, we’ve introduced clear role frameworks and learning opportunities to help inFolks chart their path forward. We have inFolks who have grown from interns to leadership roles. Having said that, there is always room for improvement. 3. Burnout and change management: We take burnout and people’s challenges seriously. Amber, our Chief Listening Officer, checks in with every inFolk regularly apart from the eNPS check in every 3 months. We also offer anonymous feedback channels for complete transparency and safety. While we are evolving in how we address burnout, we aim to “walk the talk” with initiatives like mental health support like you have mentioned. 4. Cross-functional challenges: Moving from remote to hybrid has some collaboration issues, With clearly drawn out Hybrid expectations & relooking at our ways of work - we definitely aim to solve these issues. 5. Other Concerns: We discuss concerns raised by inFolks through Amber during our all-hands every quarter. We try to be clear about our initiatives. We follow a data driven approach to performance and people. We believe in respecting the privacy of those who leave inFeedo by not disclosing the reasons. Pros

I’ve stayed with the company because of a strong alignment with my boss on key work priorities, which has made tackling challenging tasks rewarding. Over the years, I’ve built a highly capable team, and the direction of the organization continues to inspire confidence. The company has shown steady growth, both in terms of personal development opportunities and organizational success (e.g., YC acceptance, Series A round), which reflects its promising trajectory.

Cons

At times, navigating uncertainty is part of the process. While leadership listens and decisions are grounded in rationale and data, there are moments when you need to “disagree and commit” to keep things moving forward. The company’s DNA encourages taking bets and learning from quick failures, which can be both a challenge and a growth opportunity.
