Pros
The concept of Inthinc's products is great. It can and has saved lives. There are some great people to work with at this company.
Cons
While the technology driving the products is great, the quality of the product is very poor. Product, hardware and firmware, is often released full of bugs and quality issues. Very little executive overview of the company has a whole. Several C and D level managers, but very little management is being done. No one has ever been held accountable for their own actions minus those that the executive team found expendable. The executive team never took responsibility for major issues and seemed to often point the finger at those that had very little to do or very little control over the issue. The executive team continues to grow as do their salary, but little time, effort or money has been spent actually getting to the core of the issues and putting resolution in place to truly help the company progress forward. Last month (August 2014) Inthinc laid off approximately 30% of their overall staff. Many engineers, technical support reps, supply chain and others were let go due to ongoing operation costs and not enough sales. All the while, all of the executive team remained on board and some even received promotions to C level positions. Due to Inthinc now operating at minimal staff, it does not appear that Inthinc is in a position to stay in business much longer. This company has the ability to do great, but it's plagued by a very top heavy, uninvolved, unsympathetic and blind leadership team. If Inthinc trimmed a little off the top and put that money back into the company and put new leadership in place (replace the CEO for starters), the company could go far and continue to help save lives. The sad part about putting up this review is that the executive team will most likely just try to find a way to have it removed and not listen to anything that is actually said here.
