Pros

-Decent benefits (401k, PTO) -Nice offices

Cons

NIGHTMARE- terrible management who do not care about their people. They continue to say employees are unhappy but do nothing about it and ask more and more from already strapped employees. No investment in people development. Be prepared to work 60+ hours a week and that be considered normal. The only reason why employees are close is because they share comraderie in the shared chaos. I have not heard about a single promotion in months.

Pros

Good colleagues. People are nice and work well together to get work done.

Cons

Senior leadership has to be dismantled. Ever few months there is a re-org with no clear vision it seems that Senior management has no clue how to run a company. Like stated in a previous statement, they just treat people as resources and get rid of people for no reason. One minute you are told you are you are doing great the next minute you are fired, no way to treat people. I have been there for over 3 years and have seen many great and hard workin people let go if the speak out. I try to keep my head down and get my work done , afraid I might be next. For anyone looking to work here stay away. Don't listen what they tell you in the interview it's all a big lie to get you in the door because of all the turn overs. Once you start working you are just another resource to them. Senior management has to go. Hoping before I find another job.

Hello, this feedback does not accurately reflect our ways of working. iptiQ & Swiss Re follow a professional and fair process for performance improvement if there are ever any performance concerns. Employees are not just fired as you describe. We follow a continuous performance management process and an open-door policy with Human Resources to address concerns. If you are a current employee there are many avenues for you to report any concerns of mistreatment (Human Resources, line manager, CEO, or with any member of the management team.) We’ve repeatedly shared both global and regional strategy and initiatives during every employee town hall as well as held numerous Q&A sessions. Those recordings can be found on the intranet. In fact, 87% of our employees who responded to our employee engagement survey agree that they understand iptiQ's strategy and 89% agree that they understand how they contribute to the strategy. If you truly are a current employee, we strongly encourage you to speak up internally so we can address your concerns.

Pros

Very structured, newer framework exposure, great benefits, beautiful office locations, awesome 401k match.

Cons

Software developers (of all levels) are treated like code monkeys where performance is strongly tied to the amount of story points you complete in a 2-week sprint. Lack of subject matter experts. High turnover, which leads to low knowledge codebase. Post covid WFH policy is stricter than the pre-covid WFH policy. Early meeting to coordinate with offshore teams. Many hats. Everyone is expected to know every framework, all programming languages, every database, all business knowledge, all low & no code solutions, ci/cd, devops, etc. Basically each developer is an entire IT department. No one is expected to specialize.
